Our Executive Team
Raj Chudasama brings professional experience in the Technology, Hospitality, and Investment Finance sectors. His expertise include all areas of finance including acquisition, disposition, refinance, and financial statement analysis. He is also involved in the day-to-day operations of all assets, hotel revenue management, and franchise relationships.
Before joining Kriya Hotels, he was in IT Project Management for Fortune 500 clients of Computer Sciences Corporation and a Systems Analyst at Hertz. Raj’s formal education includes a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from The University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business. His Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, from California State University, Long Beach.
Paresh Patel has over 20 years of hotel and commercial real estate industry experience. Within the hospitality industry he has gained invaluable, direct experience in all aspects of the hotel operations and management. From his first purchase of an independent hotel in 1998 Paresh has exhibited his strong desire to succeed through a hands-on approach to any task or obstacle that he encountered, performing duties ranging from housekeeping to general manager along the way. In 2002 he was introduced to the construction and renovations trade through a hotel acquisition with his family.
Kriya Management Group, later to be renamed Kriya Hotels, was formed with the other principals in 2004. Paresh’s role within the firm has evolved over the years and he now oversees the firm’s construction and renovation projects.
His formal education includes an Environmental Science degree from The University of Oklahoma.
Nina Chudasama serves as a managing partner for Kriya Hotels. She graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. In 2004 Nina co-founded the hotel investment and management firm of Kriya Hotels.
Nina is passionate about creating management efficiencies for revenue and operating profit growth, in turn maximizing asset value.
Krystal Patel graduated with a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a Master of Accounting from the Ohio State University. Prior to joining Kriya Hotels, Krystal worked in a tax advisory role at Ernst & Young.
She worked in the Financial Services Office primarily servicing asset management, treasury and insurance clients. Armed with Big 4 accounting experience, Krystal has the competence to conduct meaningful financial analysis and prepare quality deliverables.
Betty Jones
Senior Vice President
A veteran in the hospitality industry, Betty has established herself as a results-driven leader and for her ability to motivate and mobilize her entire team to achieve the best possible results and increase profits. Previously Betty worked with Remington Hotel Corporation as the regional director of sales and marketing and was promoted a year later to Vice President of Sales & Marketing where she managed and directed Regional Directors of Sales and a portfolio of over 70 properties. Within a few years she was promoted to Vice President of Transient Sales, and then again to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing where she managed and directed the Divisional Directors of Sales, Directors of Revenue.
Ms. Jones has also acquired extensive luxury hotel and resort expertise. She served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Le Meridien Cancun Resort & Spa and Secrets The Vine in Cancun, Mexico. As Vice President of the Hospitality Group with Laurus Corporation, she was responsible for all aspects of asset management including acquisition & dispositions, asset renovation and improvement process as well as the flow of communication between property level team members, third party property managers, lenders and investors.
Betty now leads the sales and revenue direction for Kriya Hotels by generating sales and revenue strategies and increasing revenue performance for the entire portfolio. Betty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock.
Herman W. Willis
Regional Guest Experience Manager
Herman W. Willis has more than 28 years of professional experience in a variety of successful management positions in pharmaceuticals, restaurants and hospitality. His most extensive tenure was with the pharmaceutical giant Merck & Co., where he completed his career as a member of the Elite Hall of Fame Club by receiving 5 Vice Presidents Club Awards. After joining Kriya Hotels is 2013, his unique industry experience was ideally suited for the newly developed Regional Guest Experience Management position.
In this new role, he leads the Kriya portfolio team in the development and training of staff to ensure the highest levels of hospitality and service are consistently provided. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Science from Auburn University and a Hospitality Management Certificate from Cornell University.
